About Ramona
I’ve always been interested in why people become who they are — and why some parts of us remain remarkably stable even when our circumstances change.
Some of that curiosity came from observing myself. There have been periods of my life when I had plenty of reasons to lose confidence in who I was, but somehow, I largely didn’t. I could be affected by an experience without completely losing my sense of self.
It made me wonder: Where does that stability come from? What makes certain parts of an identity resilient while others are shaped by our experiences, relationships and environments?
Those questions became the thread connecting much of my life and work — from studying neuroscience, to years in beauty and hair, to exploring transformation, movement and the ways our environments influence how we experience ourselves.
That perspective eventually became
RAMONA CODED.
My work explores identity from different angles, but the question underneath it remains the same:
What shapes the way we experience ourselves — and what happens when we become more intentional about what we reinforce?
